Can the HUSL calendar sync with third-party calendars?
Why HUSL doesn’t integrate with external calendars (and how to use it effectively)
Currently, the HUSL calendar does not sync with third-party calendars (e.g. Google Calendar or Apple Calendar).
This is intentional. HUSL is designed as an all-in-one system for independent stylists, where your availability, bookings, and time-blocking all live in one place.
From a technical perspective, each calendar platform is built very differently and doesn’t “speak the same language” in real time. This means syncing between systems isn’t always reliable - especially when it comes to live availability for online bookings. Even small delays or mismatches can result in:
- Double bookings
- Incorrect available times shown to clients
- Bookings coming through when you’re actually unavailable
To avoid this, HUSL keeps everything centralised and accurate within the app, so what your client sees is always up to date.
💡 How stylists use the HUSL calendar instead
Many stylists choose to use the HUSL calendar as both their work and personal calendar.
Why this works:
- You can add Tasks to block out personal time (appointments, days off, errands)
- Tasks will block availability if you offer online bookings
- Everything sits in one place — no back-and-forth between calendars
How to block out time using Tasks
- Open your calendar in HUSL
- Select the time/date you want to block
- Tap Add Task
- Enter the details (e.g. “Day Off”, “Appointment”)
- Save - this time will now be unavailable for bookings
💡 Tips for success
- Use Tasks for anything personal to avoid double bookings
- Keep all availability updated directly in HUSL for accuracy
- Treat HUSL as your single source of truth for your schedule
