Open Carts Will Be Purged After 7 Days (Important Update)
Understand how Open carts work in HUSL and how to avoid losing transactions using Offline Payments.
Open carts in HUSL will be automatically purged after 7 days if they are not completed.
Open carts have never been included in sales reporting, as only completed transactions are recorded as final sales.
However, the automatic purging of Open carts after 7 days is a new change designed to help keep transaction data accurate and up to date. With the introduction of Offline Payments in v2.28, there is now a clearer and more reliable way to ensure all transactions are properly completed and recorded.
An Open cart (or open transaction) means:
- A client sale has been started in HUSL
- Services or products have been added
- But the transaction has NOT been fully completed at checkout
Open carts are not counted as finalised sales and will not appear as completed revenue until they are closed.
⏳ What Happens After 7 Days?If an Open cart is left incomplete:
- It will be automatically purged after 7 days
- It will no longer appear in your active transactions
- It will not be recoverable after deletion
With the latest update in HUSL v2.28, you can now record and complete offline payments directly in the app, making it easier to finalise every transaction at checkout.
This is especially useful if you use:
- External card systems
- Gift vouchers
- Memberships etc
By using Offline Payments, you can ensure every sale is:
✔ Recorded correctly
✔ Marked as completed
✔ Included in your sales reporting
- Go to your Home Screen
- Tap your Profile Image (top left)
- Select Payments
- Tap Offline Payment Types
- Add your preferred payment methods
- Use them at checkout when completing a transaction
Completing transactions using Offline Payments ensures:
- No Open carts are left behind
- Accurate sales reporting
- Full visibility of all payments (including external systems)
- A smoother checkout workflow
- Always complete transactions at the time of payment
- Use Offline Payments for EFTPOS, vouchers, or external processors
- Regularly check your Open carts at the end of the day
- Avoid leaving transactions unattended for multiple days
Open carts in HUSL are automatically purged after 7 days. With Offline Payments now available, stylists can ensure every transaction is properly completed, recorded, and included in reporting before being closed.
