Open Carts Will Be Removed After 7 Days (Important Update)
Understand how Open Carts work in HUSL and how to ensure all transactions are correctly completed using Offline Payments.
Open carts in HUSL will be automatically removed from the Point of Sale after 7 days if they have not been completed.
Open carts are not included in sales reporting, as only completed transactions are recorded as final sales. This update is part of improving clarity and consistency across transactions in the system.
With the introduction of Offline Payments in v2.28, there is now a clearer and more reliable way to ensure all transactions are completed and recorded correctly.
What Is an Open Cart?An Open Cart (or open transaction) simply means:
- A client sale has been started in HUSL
- Services or products have been added
- But the transaction has not yet been completed at checkout
Open carts are not counted as finalised sales and will only appear in reporting once they are completed.
⏳ What Happens After 7 Days?If an Open Cart is left incomplete:
- It will be automatically removed from the Point of Sale after 7 days
- It will no longer appear in your active transaction list
👉 Any transaction that is awaiting payment or marked as overdue will remain visible and unaffected.
👉 Any cart linked to a booking can always be reopened by starting the checkout process directly from the appointment.
💡 How to Ensure Transactions Are CompletedWith the latest update in HUSL v2.28, you can now record and complete offline payments directly in the app, making it easier to finalise every transaction at checkout.
This is especially useful if you use:
- External card terminals
- Gift vouchers
- Memberships
- Other external payment methods
By using Offline Payments, you can ensure every sale is:
✔ Properly recorded
✔ Marked as completed
✔ Included in sales reporting
- Go to your Home Screen
- Tap your Profile Image (top left)
- Select Payments
- Tap Offline Payment Types
- Add your preferred payment methods
- Use them at checkout when completing a transaction
Completing transactions using Offline Payments ensures:
- All sales are accurately recorded
- Reporting reflects completed transactions only
- Better visibility of payments processed outside the app
- A smoother, more consistent checkout workflow
- Complete transactions at the time of payment where possible
- Use Offline Payments for EFTPOS, vouchers, or external processors
- Review active carts at the end of each day
- Reopen any cart linked to an appointment directly from the booking if needed
