Why Do I Get an Error Message When I Tap on “Stripe Connect Now”?
Troubleshooting Stripe connection errors in the HUSL app
If you see an error message when trying to connect your Stripe account through the HUSL app, it’s usually related to Stripe’s strict security and location verification checks.
Stripe uses advanced systems to confirm your location and account details before allowing connections.
This error can appear if you already have an existing Stripe account that was created outside of the HUSL app and the country code or location settings don’t match.
How to Fix the Issue:
Step 1: Check your Stripe account settings
-
Log in to your Stripe Dashboard.
-
Go to Settings → Account details → Business information.
-
Confirm your country code and address are correct and match your current location.
Step 2: Check your HUSL app location settings
-
Open the HUSL app on your device.
-
Go to your device settings → HUSL → Location.
-
Ensure “While Using the App” or “Always” is selected.
-
Toggle ‘Precise Location’ ON.
Step 3: Retry connecting
Return to the HUSL app and tap “Stripe Connect Now” again.
💡 Tips:
-
If the error persists, try logging out and back into both Stripe and HUSL.
-
Make sure your device’s region settings match your Stripe account country.
-
Contact HUSL Support if your account details are correct but the issue continues.
