Why Is My Client Seeing a Message Saying I Don’t Accept Afterpay?
Troubleshooting Afterpay settings in your Stripe account connected to HUSL.
If your client taps their Afterpay Plus Card and receives a message saying you do not accept Afterpay, this usually means Afterpay has not been enabled within your connected Stripe account settings.
Even though Afterpay is integrated with HUSL, sometimes it needs to be activated in Stripe on your end.
How to Check If Afterpay Is Enabled
- Log into your Stripe Dashboard
- Go to Settings
- Select Payment Methods
- Search for Afterpay/Clearpay
- Ensure it is switched ON
Important Notes
- Your Stripe account must be fully verified
- Afterpay availability depends on your business eligibility and Stripe approval
- Some payment methods may take time to activate after enabling them
- Your client must also have an active Afterpay Plus Card set up correctly in their wallet
Still Not Working?
If Afterpay is already enabled in Stripe and clients are still receiving this message:
- Try processing a small test payment
- Confirm your Stripe account is connected correctly inside HUSL
- Contact HUSL support with screenshots of the error message and your Stripe payment method settings
💡 Helpful Tip
After enabling Afterpay in Stripe, it’s a good idea to restart your HUSL app and test the payment flow again.
