Why Is My HUSL Unique Link Not Working?
Understanding how links can break when copied and pasted
When you copy your unique HUSL link directly from the app, it’s clean and correct.
But pasting it into certain apps or platforms can unintentionally change, shorten, or break the link.
If you later copy it from that platform, you may be copying an altered version that no longer works as intended.
Below are the most common ways this happens and how to avoid it.
Why Links Become Broken
1. Some apps reformat or shorten links
Apps such as Instagram, Facebook, or Notes may:
-
Add tracking information
-
Convert the link into a preview link
-
Shorten the URL
If you copy the link again from that app, you’re copying the modified version — not your original HUSL link.
2. Invisible characters may be added
Certain apps add:
-
Extra spaces
-
Line breaks
-
Formatting characters
These can break how your link functions, even if it looks normal.
3. Long links may get split
If a link wraps onto two lines, copying it again may only grab part of it, creating an incomplete link that won’t work.
4. Some platforms rewrite URLs using “smart links”
Social media platforms often convert URLs into their own tracking links. Copying the link back out gives you the rewritten version instead of your original HUSL link.
*How to Prevent Link Issues
Always copy directly from the HUSL app
This ensures you’re copying the correct, unaltered link every time.
Avoid copying links from places you’ve already pasted them
This is the most common cause of broken links.
Paste into a plain-text app (like Notes) if you need to store it
Plain-text apps don’t modify links.
Steps to Safely Share Your HUSL Link
-
Open the HUSL app.
-
From the homescreen > Share my eStore
-
Tap “Copy Link” directly from the app.
-
Paste it where you need to share it (text, DM, etc.).
-
If you ever need it again, re-copy it from the HUSL app — not from where you pasted it.
💡 Helpful Tips
-
If a client reports your link isn’t working, re-copy it from the HUSL app and resend.
-
Avoid copying links from Instagram bios, Facebook posts, or stylized notes — these are the most likely to alter your link.
-
Use plain text when possible to prevent formatting issues.
